BEHIND THE MUSIC
Kaitlyn Yeung is a classically trained pianist. She began her piano studies with renowned Russian Pianist, Boris Zarankin at the age of 6. In 2006, Kaitlyn was offered a spot at Unionville High School's prestigious Arts York Program, where she graduated in piano performance with honours. Kaitlyn has a standing achievement of ARCT level piano, offered through the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada (equivalent to grade 11). Through her years of study and performance, Kaitlyn has placed first in a number of major piano competitions throughout Ontario including the Kiwanis Music Festival, Markham Music Festival and Yips Music Festival in solo, duet and concerto classes. In addition to these music festivals, Kaitlyn was a three time provincial finalist at the Canadian Music Competitions (a prestigious three stage competition that takes place in fifteen cities across Canada).
Work experience: Kaitlyn has taught piano privately to both children and adults for the last 17 years. Aside from private teaching, Kaitlyn has worked at a number of music schools including Yips Music and Montessori in Canada. She has also accompanied for choirs, musical theatre groups, vocalists and violinists. Kaitlyn now offers her services throughout Hong Kong.
Style: Kaitlyn's style is clean and expressive. Her artistic ability, expressive piano style and attention to detail sets her apart from others. Kaitlyn is extremely patient and caring and customizes all lessons according to each and every student.
